Memorial website in the memory of your loved one
This memorial website was created in the memory of our baby, Alexander Michael Eppy-Reliford who was born in Peoria, Illinois on July 7, 2006 and passed away on July 8, 2006. He was very loved for the day that he was with us. His family all loves him and miss him very much, but we will see him again someday. He will remain in our hearts forever.

Alexander was a fighter even before he was born. He was born at 31 1/2 weeks but he weighed 5lbs. and 2 ounces, he was 17 inches long. He had a chromosome disorder called Trisomy 11. What this is, is that he had an extra of chromosome 11 and also he was missing part of chromosome 5, and part of that extra chromosome 11 attached to chromosome 5. If he was only missing the part of 5 he would have had some problems but he would have survived. But with a Trisomy 11, it is not capable of life. He had problems with his heart, his kidneys, and his lungs and various other things. We all have 2 sets of all 23 chromosomes which totals 46, but when one of them is missing or there is an extra one, then the child has problems with which depends on which chromosome is deleted or extra. But Alex fought for 25 hours and 10 minutes before his little body gave up and he went to heaven. We love him dearly and he was so precious as you all can see in his pictures. Sometimes this is genetic, being that one of the parents are a carrier, but not in this case, this was something new in  Alexander. This is the story of how little Alexander became an angel.

I'll Be There

Daddy please don't look so sad, momma
please don't cry.

'Cause I'm in the arms of Jesus and He
sings me lullabies.

Please, try not to question God, don't
think He is unkind.

Don't think He sent me to you, and then
He changed His mind

You see, I am a special child, and I'm
needed up above.

I'm the special gift you gave Him, the
product of your love.

I'll always be there with you, and watch
the sky at night.

Find the brightest star that’s gleaming,
that's my halo's brilliant light.

You'll see me in the morning frost that
mists your window pane.

That's me, in the summer showers; I'll be
 dancing in the rain.

When you feel a little breeze, from a
gentle wind that blows,

That's me, I'll be there, planting a kiss on
 your nose.

When you see a child playing and your
heart feels a tug,

That's me, I'll be there, giving your heart a hug.

So daddy, please don't look so sad, and
momma don't you cry,

I'm in the arms of Jesus, and He sings me
 lullabies.

His Journey's Just Begun

Don't think of him as gone away,

his journey's just begun.

Life holds so many facets, this earth is
only one.

Just think of his as resting,

from the sorrows and the tears.

In a place of warmth and comfort,

where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing,

that we could know today...

How nothing but our sadness

can really pass away.

And think of him as living

in the hearts of those he touched...

For nothing loved is ever lost

and he was loved so much!
